Cowboy Boot Journals

Boot Books...hmmm....I need to come up with a better name!  I made these refillable journals from old cowboy boots last week.  A customer wanted me to make journals from her late father's boots--one book per boot.  I think they turned out great.  She had taken the two sides apart on one boot, so I made a new binding for that one.  For the other, I used the original seam of the boot for a wrap-around binding.  Each book has three notebooks inside--she opted for plain paper, but we could have put in lined, dot-grid, or an undated planner.  

I'll now be on the lookout for  old cowboy boots as I love this upcycling idea.  A social media follower has already ordered books from her late husband's boots as gifts for her daughters.
