The Wood Write
Wood Writes are refillable, hard-bound journals crafted from upcycled mid-century interior paneling, sanded to a smooth patina. This line comes in three sizes and features vintage images inked on front covers. Each journal holds two Moleskine Cahier notebooks, but up to three or four can be used. Each one-of-a-kind cover is made with natural, upcycled wood. Natural wood finishes are sanded and treated for a smooth and organic feel. Most wood writes have an inked image and/or phrase added to the cover. There will sometimes be slight irregularities in the wood grain or finish since this is reused material. Each spine is created from long-lasting book tape and chipboard—a vegan option! For some, a sturdy and handsome leather binding is used.
These refillable wooden journals hold notebook inserts that can be easily replaced—an efficient option for endless use. Just pull the notebook off of the elastic band and slide a new one in. Each book includes two inserts plus a handmade pocket inside the front cover and one file insert in the middle to capture loose papers. A handy elastic band wraps around the book to keep it snugly closed.
