Antique Marble Covers

These unique refillable journals are made from a series of books published in the early twentieth century. The original books were red leather three-quarter binding with marbled boards and gold lettering at the spine. In creating these refillable journals from the discarded books, I’ve rebound them in sturdy black book tape and adhered the original spine to the front cover.

All of the spines are essentially the same in design and color. All are printed with “Stoddards’s Lectures” (for John L. Stoddard, 1850-1931). The lecture topics vary. This one is California, Grand Canyon and Yellowstone. Most others feature other countries. Contact me for a list of titles, if interested in a particular place.

The marbled paper is stunning for these antique books brought back to life in a new form.

Beautiful silvery green endpapers are found inside each cover. A paper pocket is adhered inside the front cover to corral loose papers and cards and an elastic closure keeps your work secure and private.

Inside you will find three notebook inserts which can be removed and replaced. Plain paper, lined paper, undated weekly planners and undated monthly planners are available to insert. The journal comes with three inserts but will hold up to four.

Moleskine Cahier notebook inserts (large) fit perfectly.

The journal’s size is 6” x 9.”..
