Stitched Paper

I love stitching on paper. It’s really the only time I use the fancy stitches on my Brother sewing machine. This is a canvas book about 4” x 5” that goes together in a unique way from one piece of canvas. It has abundant stitching — frankly I grabbed whatever thread was handiest and ended up with this teal. It is squishy and full of collage goodness. I save so much paper ephemera for this kind of project, and it’s therapeutic to go through to find just the scrap to sew onto that other scrap. The cover is that first panel with the word Design on it. It has 16 panels (pages?); half of them shown here. I want to do more of these! I’m not sure how I’ll use this particular book; some pages are so full of collage it’s hard to write on them other than a word or two. I’m ok with that.
