Bootstrap Journals
In process, a big batch of Bootstrap Journals. I’ve been collecting old worn-out cowboy boots from thrift shops throughout the winter and now have a great stash! The tops never wear out :) I’ve cut linings from old, thin leather coats and now it’s time to sew them up. Then it’s a matter of setting eyelets for the elastic, stringing the elastic, and riveting on the bootstrap closure. Below, a view of the final product. I love the supple leather, intricate stitching and overall feel of these refillable journals. They’ll last a long, long time!
