License to Write
These unique refillable journals are made from metal license plates, which have been scrubbed to remove the road wear! Montana plates come in a myriad of styles and colors. Many feature the 4 prefix, which signifies Missoula County, but other counties are represented too. Journals are about 6” x 9”.
Handsome Leather Spine
The journals are bound with a lovely, tan leather spine. An elastic closure keeps your writing, lists, doodles and drawings safe and secure.
Inside, you will find that the front license plate is bent up to create a pocket for tucking loose papers, cards and ephemera. Inside the back cover, a pen loop is attached so that you can keep your writing instrument handy. Journals come with three notebook inserts and you can choose among plain paper, lined paper, undated monthly planner or undated weekly planner. Use Moleskine Cahier refills (large) or purchase inserts from Just My Type.
The Passport size License to Write is 4” x 6” and is made of off-cuts from the large journals. Nothing goes to waste! They also feature the leather spine and elastic closure. A passport can be inserted onto one of the elastic bands inside. Or fill with Moleskine Cahier inserts (small).
The large journal is perfect for sketching, journaling, or project notes. While the small one can be used in all of those ways as well, it is ideal for making lists, quick notes on the run, birthday lists, etc. And either size can be a handy planner if you’ve foregone the digital calendar for paper.
